The Bicocca’s bold architecture is a visual cue to the machines internal engineering that is designed to exceed the needs of even the most demanding home barista.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
When Rocket presented the design brief to Valerio Cometti+V12 Design, the vision was to design an elegant and purposeful espresso machine that upheld premium performance while honoring craftsmanship. This resulted in the birth of Bicocca, the flagship model within our domestic espresso machine range, catering to the prosumer category. The taut geometric lines of the machine panels reinforce the concept of solidity and reliability, qualities that are mandatory in a high performing product.
THERMAL STABILITY, DUAL BOILER AND HEATED GROUP
Bicocca is built around a dual boiler system with independent stainless steel boilers for brewing and steam, so brew temperature and steam pressure stay stable even when you are texturing milk and pulling consecutive shots. An electrically heated group with PID control keeps the group at a constant set temperature, reducing heat loss through the body and maintaining flavour from the first espresso of the day to the last.
FAST HEAT UP
Despite its professional level specification, Bicocca is designed to be ready quickly. The actively heated group and refined temperature control bring the machine to brew temperature in around 8 to 10 minutes, with full steam power available soon after.
EASY CONTROL
Mounted above the group, the 3.5 inch touchscreen HMI is the control centre for Bicocca. Here you can programme up to two volumetric recipes, adjusting beverage volume, pre infusion and extraction time for repeatable extractions. The clear menu structure makes it easy to fine tune for different coffees and roast profiles, while functions such as calendar based auto on and off help manage energy use and ensure the machine is hot exactly when you need it.
